A Saucerful Of Secrets is the final Pink Floyd release to feature any contributions by Syd Barrett, as we can see him slowly being eclipsed by the other members. The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, though an exploratory album that discovered new approaches to Psychedelic music, reflected a sense of optimism.

A Saucerful of Secrets - Pink Floyd (CD ) This is the second album by the famous band Pink Floyd back when they were still experimenting with their style and direction. It is also the last Floyd album from their early years with a Syd Barrett song (Jug Band Blues last track) which has his unique style.

A Saucerful of Secrets is definitely one of Pink Floyd's most overlooked albums, yes, it maaay feel kinda underwhelming in comparison to their amazing debut, but it's not an album to sleep on, this thing creates great ethereal and meditating atmosphere, it's filled of melancholic tracks, as well as some of the first excellent progressive rock songs that the band ever made.
